Paulo Calisto
Creator of the VISITA Method. Twenty years inside hospitality, from the restaurant floor to digital leadership.
I did not learn hospitality from a book. I learned it from twenty years inside it.
I started on the floor, managing restaurants: three restaurants and a coffee shop, including a high-volume operation serving more than 16,000 guests per month. I learned what a busy service really costs, and what guests actually notice.
From there I moved to business development at one of Asia’s most visited landmark attractions, building proposals, products, and partnerships. Later I built and led its ecommerce operation from its creation: the website, the direct sales, the digital strategy. For more than a decade, my job has been turning digital tools into real bookings and real revenue for a hospitality business.
The digital side was never an accident. My degree is in marketing management, and I have run a digital consultancy since 2013, helping businesses bridge the gap between digital innovation and daily operations.
So when I talk about the six pillars, I am not repeating theory. I have lived every one of them: fighting for visibility, reading the numbers, removing friction at the front desk and the restaurant floor, creating experiences guests remember, protecting direct revenue from commissions, and automating the repetitive work so the team can focus on guests.
I created the VISITA Method because the AI era is the biggest shift I have seen in twenty years, and most operators are facing it without a map.
One more thing about how I work: everything here is in writing. Books, tools, and assessments you can read, use, and judge for yourself, in your own time. If you have a question, email me: paulo@visitamethod.com. I personally reply within 2 business days.
